Centre County Democrats Monthly Breakfast The Environmental Crisis and Politics is the subject for the October Breakfast. Our speaker is Jim Eisenstein, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Penn State, who has been teaching a course on this subject since 1975. Information on local environmental issues will be available, including the status of Spring Creek Canyon and the proposed landfill in Rush Township. This breakfast will be held at Toftrees on Oct. 20 (Note: this is the third Saturday instead of the usual fourth Saturday, to avoid a conflict with Penn State football). Cost for the all inclusive buffet is $10 per person.
